METHODOLOGY
AGRISTATIS PANEL RESEARCH DATA IS REPRESENTATIVE FOR TARGET CROPS,
REGIONS AND FARM CATEGORIES
The sample is stratified; when selecting the target audience for the study, quotas are considered based on two parameters: region (oblast) and the size of cultivated area under the target crop on the farm
WHEN INTERPRETING THE DATA CALCULATED AS A RESULT OF EXTRAPOLATION OF RESPONDENTS' ANSWERS TO GENARAL POPULATION, A CONFIDENCE INTERVAL IS CONSIDERED, WHICH DEPENDS ON THE SIZE OF SAMPLE
At a confidence interval of 95%, the studied indicators are within the specified range of fluctuations
(for N = 1,000 farms):

THE BASIS FOR SAMPLE FORMATION: THE STRUCTURE OF CULTIVATED AREAS UNDER CROPS AND THE NUMBER OF FARMS IN THE REGION
Data for sample formation is based on official information provided by State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, forms 4-sg – for cultivated area and 29-sg – for number of farms (section "category of enterprises"). Forms are updated annually and verified through a regional network of interviewers; data is updated by a Call Center. A promising direction for verification of data on sown areas is by analyzing satellite images.
